On The Rap Game episode “I Win,” mentor Jermaine Dupri says “this week is all about star power.” He wants to see who can translate their star power into a music video. To help the kid rappers prepare for their big chance in front of the camera, JD invites actress/singer Keke Palmer and director Benny Boom. Keke Palmer made her acting debut in the 2004 film Barbershop 2: Back in Business as the niece of Queen Latifah. Since then, her career has been soaring.

Keke Palmer was the star of the Nickelodeon teen sitcom True Jackson, VP for three years, and later landed the voice role of Peaches in the Ice Age movies. You can see Keke next on Scream: The TV Series as Kym (the series returns in March 2018). Keke also has experience being in music videos, and not just her own. She played the 11-year-old pregnant girl in Ludacris‘ 2006 video “Runaway Love” featuring Mary J. Blige (see below). If you want to get a glimpse of Keke’s sense of humor, check out the video she posted just one day before her appearance on The Rap Game. Cosmopolitan filmed Keke making a prank call to a pizzeria (see below). The Rap Game airs Fridays at 10pm on Lifetime.
