The eleven teams competing on Season 30 of The Amazing Race could be the most competitive . Sure there are former professional athletes (NBA All-Star Shawn Marion), and Indy 500 winner Alexander Rossi, but there’s also 34-year-old competitive eater Joey Chestnut to contend with. Joey is best known for holding the Nathan’s Famous hot dog and buns eating record (72 in 10 seconds). But he also holds records for eating shrimp cocktail (15 pounds in 8 minutes) and Jersey pork roll (32 sandwiches in 10 minutes), among others.
Chestnut’s abilities have allowed him to travel the world and meet some interesting people including other celebrities. In July 2017, Joey Chestnut competed in the MLB 2017 All-Star Legends & Celebrity Softball Game. He played second base while Oscar Award winning movie star Jamie Foxx played left field.
