Boobie Bar is a lactation bar designed for breast-feeding moms. It was founded by registered nurse Wendy Colson of Carlsbad, California. As a lactation specialist she’s seen moms try herbal supplements to help keep their milk supply up but they’re stuck swallowing up to 15 pills a day or brewing up to six cups of tea. That’s what prompted Nurse Wendy to make Boobie Bar, a yummy edible lactation bar chock full of lactation herbs (galactogogues). Wendy is pitching her business on Shark Tank on January 14. She’s seeking an investment of $150,000 in exchange for 10 percent equity.
Boxes of Boobie Bar (6 in each) are available online (see link above) and at baby retail stores including Toys R Us, and buybuyBaby. Boobie Bars contain no dairy or corn, are 100% vegan and kosher, and are also a good fiber source (16% DV). There are three Boobie Bar flavors — oatmeal chocolate chip, blueberry coconut, and gluten-free peanut butter.
