In the 9JKL episode “Set Visit,” Josh (Mark Feuerstein) is cast in a new movie. That’s the good news. The bad news is his parents Harry (Elliot Gould) and Judy (Linda Lavin) come to visit the set. The eccentric director Walter Michaelson takes a shine to Josh’s parents. Walter insists Harry and Judy be in Josh’s most important scene. And yes, hilarity ensues.
Director Walter Michaelson is portrayed by Michael Showalter. The writer/actor is known for his roles on Search Party (Max), Wet Hot American Summer (Coop/President Reagan), Childrens Hospital (Nils Vildervaan), and the sketch comedy show Stella, among others. 9JKL airs Mondays at 9:30pm on CBS, right after Superior Donuts, and right before Scorpion.
