In the Lifetime movie A Very Merry Toy Store, single mom Connie Forrester (Melissa Joan Hart) and Will DiNova (Mario Lopez) each run a small, family-owned toy store in Connecticut. The holiday season appears to be competitive business as usual, until the unscrupulous toy magnate Roy Barnes (Billy Gardell) and his henchwoman Miss Halifax, open a big-box store in their town. Now, life-long rivals Connie and Will must come together to find a way save their businesses, and perhaps find love, all in time for Christmas.
Miss Halifax is portrayed by Cameron Meyer. The role marks the third time she’s worked with Hart, guest starring on the final episode of Melissa & Joey and in the Lifetime holiday movie Santa Con a few years back. Meyer’s television credits also include roles on Criminal Minds, The Mentalist, Hart of Dixie, and Monk. Meyer received critical attention for her role in the world premiere of play SAFE, by Chuck Rose; even landing her on the cover of Variety for her portrayal of the network anchorwoman Andrea McKay. A Los Angeles native, Meyer continues to work on stage regularly and is currently an Admissions Officer for the acting program at the Beverly Hills Playhouse.
