Red Marlow is known for being “more country than corn bread” on The Voice. And it’s been working for him on Team Blake. Red has made it to the Final Four. Like any good artist, Red knows you can’t become complacent, especially when it’s down to the wire. For the Live Finale, Red will perform the song “To Make You feel My Love.” When the song was first released in 1996, it was Billy Joel singing the lyrics. But the song was written by Bob Dylan.

While Dylan has recorded the song too, Red will likely hear the voice of Garth Brooks when he performs the song on The Voice stage. Brooks covered it for the 1998 film Hope Floats starring Sandra Bullock and Harry Connick, Jr. (see link above). The song is so good, Brooks’ wife Trisha Yearwood also covered the song and that version too is on the Hope Floats soundtrack. But it was Garth Brooks’ version that gave Dylan a nomination for Best Country Song at the Grammy Awards in 1999. P.S. Adele has covered “To Make You Feel My Love” too. See video below. The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
