Blendtique Wine Company offers wine lovers a chance to create their own signature wine and personalize their own label and then delivers bottles of it to their door. The founder of Blendtique, Billy Dim of Santa Barbara, California, pitched his business on Shark Tank in March 2017. He went into the Tank seeking a $250,000 investment in exchange for 10 percent equity. At the end of the show, Dim accepted a $250,000 loan from Lori Greiner at eight percent interest and 10 percent equity of Blendtique.
After Shark Tank, Blendtique has been forging ahead with its partnership with Celebrity Cruises. On board, passengers can blend their own wine and have it bottled and shipped to them. “Be a sommelier for a day” is how the event is advertised.
