In the Hallmark Channel movie Enchanted Christmas, Laura Trudeau used to be happily married and enjoyed dancing in her hometown in Utah. But after her husband died, Laura left town (and stopped dancing), heartbroken. Now she’s called back home to help save an old hotel. There she reunites with her old boyfriend Ricardo who left her to pursue a dance career! Part of the Christmas benefit to save the hotel involves a dance performance, and yes Laura and Ricardo dance together and fall back in love.
Laura is portrayed by Alexa PenaVega. Ricardo is portrayed by her real-life husband Carlos PenaVega. The young couple both competing on Dancing with the Stars, Season 21 (the year Bindi Irwin won with Derek Hughes). Alexa is also know for her roles on Nashville (Kiley Brenner), Ladies Man (Wendy Stiles), and in the Spy Kids movies (Carmen Cortez), among others. Enchanted Christmas premieres on Hallmark on Sunday, November 12 at 8pm.
