In the Lifetime movie “A Very Merry Toy Store,” single mom Connie Forrester (Melissa Joan Hart) and Will DiNova (Mario Lopez) run two separate family-owned toy stores in a small town in Connecticut. While they’ve been rivals for years, the two come together to fight the opening of big-box toy store Roy’s Toys right before Christmas. As Connie and Will form an alliance, they also fall in love with each other.
The owner of Roy’s Toys, Roy Barnes, is portrayed by comedic actor Billy Gardell. He’s known for his roles on Sun Records (Colonel Tom Parker), Mike & Molly (cop Mike Biggs), My Name Is Earl (Officer Hoyne), and Yes, Dear (Billy Colavita), among others. Gardell was also the host of the TV game show Monopoly Millionaires Club in 2015. A Very Merry Toy Store premieres on Lifetime on Sunday, November 26 at 8pm.
