The Profit star Marcus Lemonis is the CEO of Camping World so adding a company that makes portable tiny homes to his portfolio seems like a natural fit. Lemonis travels to Colorado to meet Tumbleweed Tiny Homes Company CEO Steve Weissman. Tumbleweed was a side business for the first few years. But now the manufacturer is in over a million dollars of debt and is on the brink of bankruptcy. the bankruptcy lurks about one week away, according to Weissman’s wife.
When Lemonis gets a hold of the financials, he accuses Weissman of running a “smoke and mirrors business” after he discovers that Weissman “pulled out $600,000 out of the business, in a business that’s growing.” When asked why, Weissman says “I didn’t see this coming.” The Profit airs Tuesdays at 10pm on CNBC.
