On the NCIS: New Orleans episode “Acceptable Loss,” the team investigates the murder of a petty officer. They suspect a mysterious blonde named Chloe Mills (guest star Natalie Hall). Agent Pride (Scott Bakula) accuses her of murdering four men. But she gets her hands (and lips!) on Agent Christopher LaSalle (Lucas Black), LaSalle receives a visit from his father Beau who wants to talk about the family business (they’re in the oil business). Beau doesn’t think much of Christopher’s current career choice. “A career is something you build. Something that makes a contribution to the world,” Beau tells his son. He wants Christopher to take over the family business. “Time’s up,” Beau says when he presents Christopher with a contract. “I’m not going to be around forever. Gotta plan for the future.”

Beau LaSalle is portrayed by Mike Pniewski. He’s known for his roles on Shots Fired (Julian Carroll), Madam Secretary (Gordon Becker), Longmire (Judge Drood), Blue Bloods (Vaughn Morgan), South of Hell (Sheriff Dickey), The Good Wife (Frank Landau), Halt and Catch Fire (Barry Shields), Drop Dead Diva (Amos Hanson), and Law & Order: Criminal Intent (Chief of Detectives Kenny Moran), among many others. Fun fact: Pniewski made his acting debut in a 1984 episode of Hill Street Blues. NCIS: New Orleans airs Tuesdays at 10pm on CBS, right after Bull.
