In the SEAL Team episode “Ghosts of Christmas Future,” while Jason (David Boreanaz) and the team refuse to abort a mission to capture a dangerous war criminal, Clay (Max Thieriot) is visited by his controversial father, Ash Spencer. His father is a writer who’s in town for his book tour. The reunion is not a warm one.
Ash Spencer is portrayed by C. Thomas Howell. He’s known for his roles on Ray Donovan (Dr. Brogan), Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce (Nate), Grimm (Weston Steward), Criminal Minds (George Foyet aka The Reaper), Southland (Officer Dewey Dudek), and in the films Soul Man (Mark Watson), The Hitcher (Jim Halsey), Red Dawn (Robert), The Outsiders (Ponyboy Curtis), and E.T. (Tyler), among many others. SEAL Team airs Wednesdays at 9pm on CBS, right after Survivor.
