In the Hallmark movie Marry Me at Christmas, bridal shop owner Madeline Krug loves her job. Finding the perfect dress for a bride can be challenging but also rewarding. While helping Christmas bride Ginger (Emily Tennant) find her winter wedding gown, Madeline meets Ginger’s movie star brother Jonny Blaze (Trevor Donovan). And yes, they fall in love. Neither Madeline nor Jonny planned on meeting their soul mate in the quirky town of Fool’s Gold but they do while strolling through snow-covered streets.
Madeline Krug is portrayed by Norwegian-born, Canadian-raised actress Rachel Skarsten. In the States, she’s known for her roles on the TV series Reign (Queen Elizabeth I) and in the 2015 film Fifty Shades of Grey (Andrea), among others. Fun fact: Krug danced for the Royal Academy of Dance for 12 years before injuring her ankle and retiring from dance. She graduated from Queen’s University in Canada with a BA in English Language and Literature and a minor in Classical History which must have come in handy on the set of Reign. Marry Me at Christmas premieres on Hallmark on Saturday, October 28 at 8pm.
