At the end of Fresh off the Boat Season 3, the Huangs became homeless. It’s a long story. Jessica (Constance Wu) is desperate to get the family moved back into the house but there’s already a new tenant in the house, Adam. When the Huangs arrive at the house, they explain what has happened and why they want to move back into the house. Adam serves them scones.
[It’s hard not to watch Groundhog Day over and over]
Adam is portrayed by Chris Elliott. The 4-time Emmy Award winner is known for his roles on Schitt’s Creek (Roland Schitt), How I Met Your Mother (Mickey Aldrin), Everybody Loves Raymond (Amy’s brother Peter MacDougall), Saturday Night Live (1994-1995), and Late Night with David Letterman (1985-1988) among others. Elliott is also well recognized for his roles in the films Groundhog Day (cameraman Larry), There’s Something About Mary (Mary’s ex Dom), Kingpin (The Gambler), Cabin Boy (Nathanial Mayweather). Fresh off the Boat airs Tuesdays at 8:30pm on ABC, right after The Middle.
