Infor Logo on Brooklyn Nets Uniform Jerseys — What’s the Story
The first sponsor to purchase a spot on the Brooklyn Nets NBA uniform jersey is Infor, a cloud-centric software company based in New York. 2017-18 marks the first year that the NBA has allowed teams to sell advertising space on their jerseys, following the lead of global sports leagues like the English Premier League and La Liga in soccer. The New York borough of Brooklyn suits Infor well because of Brooklyn’s growing reputation as a digital media and tech hub. The Infor logo patch may not be the most visually sleek logo on an NBA uniform this season, but the designers know one thing for sure: you can’t miss it. It’s plain and it commands attention. After all the space for rent on NBA jerseys is just 2.5 inches x 2.5 inches: you’ve got to make the most of it. Infor does exactly that. But who is Infor? That’s the question they put the patch there to make you ask.

Infor makes software applications cloud-based enterprise. Infor has over 16,000 employees and more than 90,000 customers, including Alcoa, GSK, Foot Locker, Nissan, Petco, and The Cheesecake Factory. The Nets haven’t been as successful as any of those brands lately, but the franchise is priming for a resurgence under GM Sean Marks and the guard tandem of Jeremy Lin and D’Angelo Russell.
