Madman Stephen Paddock has been identified as the sole shooter in the largest mass shooting in US history after Paddock killed more than 50 and wounded more than 400 shooting at a concert crowd at street level from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas. There were more than 20,000 concertgoers in the Fairgrounds below, gathered for a Route 91 Harvest Festival concert, featuring singer Jason Aldean. Police killed Paddock in the hotel room from which he conducted his murderous assault. There are 43 floors at the Mandalay Bay, so Paddock was near the top. Rooms at the hotel can be reserved for around $300 per night, according to multiple online booking sites.
A LVPD press release said: “The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department identified the lone suspect involved in the late night mass shooting on the Las Vegas Strip as 64-year-old, Stephen Craig Paddock, a white male from Mesquite, Nevada.”
