On the October 15 episode of Shark Tank, World Series champion and current boyfriend of Jennifer Lopez, Alex Rodriguez (formerly of the New York Yankees) is the guest shark. After listening to 17-year-old entrepreneur Ehan Kamat pitch his cooling-roller product that’s designed to soothe foot pain including plantar fasciitis pain (it’s called SoleMender), A-Rod and Mark Cuban “offer sage advice” to the young man from St. Louis, Missouri.
[SoleMender is on sale at Amazon]
Ehan was inspired to make SoleMender after watching his mother roll her foot on a frozen toy to treat foot pain. When satisfied with his prototype, with the help of his father, he submitted a patent on the SoleMender. The name, btw, refers to the first act of Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar, when the cobbler claims to be “a mender of bad soles.” SoleMender is sold for $39.99 at the Solemender site and at Amazon. Shark Tank airs Sundays at 9pm on ABC, right after America’s Funniest Home Videos.
