The AMC series Halt and Catch Fire is set in the early 1980s and shines a light on three young professionals in the tech world who set out to create a revolutionary computer. Along the way they work with venture capitalists like Diane Gould who “referees a power struggle between her protégé Donna Emerson (Kerry Bishé ) and a new rival.”
