In the Season 2 premiere episode of Designated Survivor, Tom Kirkman (Kiefer Sutherland) is still President. With one year under his belt as Commander-in-Chief, he’s now determined to rebuild the Capitol and catch the terrorists who are responsible for the attack. It’s not going to be easy. Luckily, he has the help of White House Counsel Kendra Daynes. (Note: It’s a powerful position. In real life, the current White House Counsel is Don McGahn, who personally recommended that Trump nominate Neil Gorsuch to replace Antonin Scalia on the Supreme Court.)
On Designated Survivor, Daynes is portrayed by Zoe McLellan. She is known for her roles on Suits (Holly Cromwell), NCIS: New Orleans (Meredith Brody), Dirty Sexy Money (Lisa George), and JAG (Jennifer Coates), among others. Designated Survivor airs Wednesdays at 10pm on ABC.
