Faith Evans met musician Griffin when enrolled at Fordham University in New York. According to an Essence magazine interview, when Faith learned she was pregnant with Chyna, it was Griffin who insisted that she keep the child. The relationship didn’t last but “her connection to Griffin eventually led her to Combs, and by 1993 she was writing songs for Usher’s first album and co-writing the lyrics for Mary J. Blige’s Everyday It Rains.” Celebrity Family Feud airs Sundays at 8pm on ABC.
