Out of the 22 acts that have made it to the Semifinals of America’s Got Talent, Season 12, 13 of them are singing acts. All of them are unique including DaNell Daymon and the Greater Works gospel choir, Mandy Harvey who has been deaf since she was 18, and Mike Yung who has made his living singing in New York City’s subways for the past 37 years. But there’s only one singing ventriloquist and that’s Darci Lynne Farmer from Oklahoma.

In a recent Q&A on Facebook (see below), Darci Lynne answered questions from fans related to everything from her friendship with fellow AGT singer Evie Clair to her favorite puppets. Darci Lynne spoke about her puppets (she has five) including Edna, who Darci Lynne describes as a grumpy next door neighbor “who likes to flirt with younger men.” Darci Lynne also says Edna “has a stomach of stone” (she likes to eat hot stuff) and enjoys playing Bingo at the senior citizen community center. And yes, Darci Lynne is planning for a new puppet but “it’s a surprise,” she says with a smile. America’s Got Talent airs Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 8pm on NBC.
