Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney might just think anywhere is a “great place to go play a game” with this super-talented Clemson Tigers football team. The Tigers are ranked No. 2 in the country headed into Virginia Tech for a Week 5 matchup. Swinney says “he has a lot of respect for the Virginia Tech people” and “how they support their team” and he “looks forward to being a part of it.” Swinney is certainly envisioning something much different than those Virginia Tech people want to see — Hokies fans don’t want Swinney to like coming to Blacksburg one bit.
No. 12 Virginia Tech is a formidable opponent for the Tigers. The Hokies are getting 7.5 points at Lane Stadium, where a capacity crowd tops 66,000 fans. A lot of gamblers like the underdog to cover and the line may move in that direction a bit before Saturday night at 8pm. Whichever team loses will take their first loss of the season as both teams come in 4-0.
