Elizabeth Vargas of ABC 20/20 investigates the 2011 disappearance and murder of 20-year-old nursing student Holly Bobo of Darden, Tennessee. Since her brother Clint Bobo was the last person to see her before she was abducted from their family home, he became a suspect. He tells Vargas the morning his sister disappeared, he spent the day with authorities who asked him question after question, which he understood. “They did check me. I took my shirt off. I would have taken my pants off if they had asked me.” He says he was “shocked” that they were looking at me, “that they were asking me to do these things.” Clint Bobo was eventually cleared as a suspect. Six men were arrested for varying degrees of involvement in the crime. (Holly Bobo was found dead in 2012 with a gunshot wound in the back of her head.)

It has been a complicated case over the past six years including several changes to the prosecution team. On September 22, a jury found Zack Adams guilty of aggravated kidnapping, first-degree murder and rape. He was sentenced to life in prison. Holly Bobo’s cousin, country singer Whitney Duncan of the band Post Monroe wrote and released the song “Better Place” (see link above) in Holly’s memory. Duncan wrote: “No matter what happened here on Earth, I know she’s in Heaven, and her heart isn’t broken, even if ours is.” All of the donations for this track (see link above) will be given to the Holly Bobo Memorial Scholarship Fund.
