In the Jill and Jessa: Counting On episode ‘Joy Gets Engaged’, while Ben and Jessa Seewald talk about all the diapers piling up in their house now that they have two kids (Spurgeon and Henry), Austin Forsyth proposes to Joy-Anna Duggar, and 22-year-old Joe Duggar asks for permission to enter a courtship with 18-year-old family friend Kendra Caldwell. Spoiler alert: Two months after entering their courtship, in May 2017, the young couple became engaged at Joy-Anna and Austin’s wedding. They told People magazine, “It’s great to not be courting anymore, now we’re engaged!” Joe and Kendra’s wedding is scheduled for October 7, according to their registry on Amazon, which includes a kayak and an electric bug light zapper, among other things.
Joe, the seventh child of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar of 19 and Counting fame, lists his job as “real estate maintenance” but has plans to get into construction in the future. Jill and Jessa: Counting On airs Mondays at 9pm on TLC.
