The new TNT dark comedy Claws is set in Nail Artisans of Manatee County, a Florida nail salon owned by Desna Nash (Niecy Nash). She and her four manicurists break into the traditionally male world of organized crime as they launder money for a nearby pain clinic. The premiere episode “Tirana” (which will be streamed on Twitter) features the ladies welcoming back preppy, pearl-wearing Polly, who’s just returned from a stint in prison for identity theft.
Polly is portrayed by Carrie Preston. She’s known for her roles on Person of Interest (Grace Hendricks), Crowded (Martina Moore), The Good Wife and The Good Fight (wacky lawyer Elsbeth Tascioni), and True Blood (Arlene Fowler), among others. Claws airs Sundays at 9pm on TNT.
