Sirqus Alfon is one of the most unusual acts competing on America’s Got Talent, Season 12. For their audition, the Swedish act projected themselves on a giant screen TV as if they were performing acrobatic feats but in reality they were lying on the ground acting out their gravity-defying skits. AGT judge Simon Cowell hit his buzzer and afterwards asked, “Was that a joke?” That was the worst act we had on this year.” However, Mel B was quick to defend the act and claimed that Simon “doesn’t get it.” Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel also thought Sirqus Alfon was entertaining, which gave them three yeses meaning they advance to the next round. Mandel compared them to The Three Stooges, but Sirque Alfon will likely surprise the judges with their next act.

In Europe, Sirqus Alfon performs as a musical act…a nightclub rave band that incorporates acrobatic routines, juggling, mime and break dancing into their shows. (Ejve is on the drums; Emilio is the bass player; and Babham is the “hi-tech frontman.”) They occasionally sing covers of American artists including Prince (“Purple Rain”), Michael Jackson (“Beat It”), and Britney Spears (“Toxic”), see below. America’s Got Talent airs Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC. Reruns air Fridays at 8pm.
