The Warriors have a lot on their minds. You know it’s a busy hive of activity when Coach Steve Kerr gives a victory parade speech where he forgets to mention Steph Curry. We repeat: Steph Curry. Curry is the Warrior that no one will forget about this offseason. The two-time MVP will be a free agent, though the Warriors are expected to step in and give Curry a supermax deal worth about the same thing as Snapchat IPO. (Okay, that’s an exaggeration. But he’ll be counting his money for a long time.)
Meanwhile besides Curry and Kevin Durant too, there’s another free agent in Bay Area busy-ville, and unlike Steph Curry, he has been an NBA Finals MVP (2015). Yup, Andre Iguodala can look around this summer, and teams will be banging on Iguodala’s door. There isn’t anybody else out there who can get you nearly 20 ppg and be the lockdown defender on the opposing team’s best player: Iguodala stands alone in that regard. The Vertical reports that the Jazz, Bull, T-Wolves, Hawks, and Clippers will look at Iguodala, 33. Having enjoyed the West Coast since his 76ers escape, Iguodala may like the sound of the Clippers a lot. Owner Steve Ballmer sure would like Iguodala.
