Doc Spartan, a line of 100% all-natural skin products for men, was pitched on Shark Tank in February 2017. Founder Dale King, a former Army intelligence officer, made a memorable pitch while wearing a pair of short shorts featuring the American flag. He and his Doc Spartan business partner Renee Wallace made a deal with Robert Herjavec — $75,000 for 20 percent equity.

Since their appearance on Shark Tank, Doc Spartan has hired a part-time employee to help fulfilling orders, is attending fitness expos, and working to get Doc Spartan on military bases. The goal is to have enough sales to support 10 full-time employees in their community of Portsmouth, Ohio, which is in the second poorest county (Scioto) in the state. Shark Tank airs Fridays at 9pm on ABC.
