In the Designated Survivor episode ‘Misalliance’, while Agnet Hannah Wells (Maggie Q) is kidnapped and put in an empty shipping container, Kimble Hookstraten (Virginia Madsen) “faces her toughest political battle yet when her speakership is challenged.” President Kirkman (Kiefer Sutherland) also has his hands full but he does make time for a student concert at the White House. There, he is reunited with Tyler Richmond, son of Kirkman’s predecessor, the late President Richmond.
Tyler Richmond is portrayed by Colin Woodell. He’s known for his roles on Masters of Sex (Ronald Sturgis), The Originals (Aiden), and Devious Maids (Ethan Sinclair), among others. Woodell is also a stage actor (see below). Designated Survivor airs Wednesdays at 10pm on ABC.
