In the Brooklyn Nine-Nine episode “The Slaughterhouse”, while Charles (Joe Lo Trugli0), Terry (Terry Crews) and Gina (Chelsea Peretti) try to resolve an argument between Scully (Joel McKinnon Miller) and Hitchcock (Dirk Blocker) by applying different parenting methods, Jake (Andy Samberg) and Rosa (Stephanie Beatriz) try their best to impress their idol Lieutenant Melanie Hawkins.
Lt. Hawkins is portrayed by Gina Gershon. She’s known for her roles in the films Face/Off (Sasha Hassler), P.S. I Love You (Sharon), The Insider (Helen Caperelli), Showgirls (Cristal Connors), The Player (Whitney Gersh), and Cocktail (Coral), among others. She’s also known for playing Sally Bowles in the revival of Cabaret on Broadway. Fun fact: Gershon is one of the dancers in Cyndi Lauper’s 1985 music video “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” and is seen in The Cars’ 1984 video “Hello Again” beside Andy Warhol. See below.
