In the Blindspot episode ‘In Words, Drown I’, Zapata (Audrey Esparza) goes to jail. While Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) and the team try everything to get her out, Zapata has to deal with a violent Sandstorm asset named Devon.
Devon is portrayed by MMA/UFC champion (and Olympic medalist in judo) Ronda Rousey. This isn’t her first acting role. She was in The Expendables 3 (as Luna) and Furious 7 (as Kara). She’s currently working on the action film Mile 22 with Mark Wahlberg. Ronda is the subject of the documentary Through My Father’s Eyes: The Ronda Rousey Story (see trailer below). Blindspot airs Wednesdays at 8pm on NBC.
