The protagonist in the TV movie Woman on the Run is crime novelist Nomi Gardner. While her career is a success, her marriage is not. Her husband Mark (and a pretty blonde named Greta) send Nomi to a mental institution where she’s told “So, you believe you’re a mystery writer named Nomi Gardner.” When she escapes from the psych ward, she tries desperately to find her family without the help of the police.
Nomi is portrayed by Sarah Butler. She’s appeared on several TV shows including Grey’s Anatomy, CSI: Cyber, and Castle. Butler is also recognized for her roles in the I Spit on Your Grave films (Jennifer) and in the 2016 TV movie Nightmare Nurse with Traci Lords. Woman on the Run premieres on LMN on April 16 at 8pm.
