In The Middle episode ‘The Confirmation’, Frankie (Patricia Heaton) and Mike (Neil Flynn) realize their youngest Brick (Atticus Shaffer) hasn’t been confirmed so they send him to Reverend TimTom’s (Paul Hipp) Jesus Jam camp to brush up on his religious knowledge. At the camp Brick meets his bunkmate Blake Ferguson (Kevin Thomas Mitchell), the boy with quite a backstory, including being “switched at birth.”
Blake’s mother, Anna Ferguson, is portrayed by Monica Horan. She’s best known for her role as Amy on Everybody Loves Raymond (with Patricia Heaton!) She has since appeared on Hot in Cleveland, Enlightened, and in the 2016 Netflix movie Pee-wee’s Big Holiday as Ruby the Crossing Guard. The Middle airs Tuesdays at 8pm on ABC.
