Actor Eric Stonestreet (Cam on Modern Family) is the host of the new entrepreneurial competition on TV, The Toy Box. Amateur toy makers come on the show to pitch their inventions in front of a panel of kids who get to decide which toy will be brought to life by Mattel and sold exclusively at Toys R Us.

One of the three products pitched on the premiere episode of The Toy Box is a cannon that shoots out candy. The cannon’s design resembles a carnival dunking machine. Kids try to hit the target with a ball and when the the target is hit, the cannon shoots out candy. As Noah — the young judge “who knows toys like the back of his hand” — says, “Who wouldn’t want that?!” When the serious judge Sophia Grace says, “It could be a bit dangerous,” Noah reminds his fellow judges, “Guys, life is always about taking risks.” It seems like a slam dunk product but you never know which product the kids will choose — remember Tom Hanks in BIG? The Toy Box airs Fridays at 8pm on ABC, right before Shark Tank.
