Singer/guitarist Jesse Larson has made it to the Top 12 on Season 12 of The Voice. It shouldn’t come as a surprise. As a guitarist, he was selected by the late great Prince to play with his band 3rdEyedGirl. “I had Prince sitting 15 feet away from me, watching, critiquing everything I played on guitar,” says Jesse. On The Voice, Jesse is alone on the stage and doing more than fine as a singer, too. Adam Levine has called Jesse “a wizard” and “a white CeeLo Greene” more than once. CeeLo Green was a judge and coach on The Voice for four seasons (2011 to 2014).
Jesse has endeared himself to Adam not just by being “White CeeLo.” Adam is known to shred the guitar too, and not only does Jesse shred his ax full-on Prince Super Bowl style, he actually builds his own guitars. Just another aspect of the wizard persona of Jesse Larson, insane talent. The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
