After five seasons, the A&E TV series Bates Motel — inspired by the famous 1960 Alfred Hitchcock film Psycho — is coming to an end on Monday, April 24 (10pm). The final episode is titled “The Cord” which may mean that Norman (Freddie Highmore) might finally be ready (or be forced) to cut the cord between him and his dead mother Norma (Vera Farmiga).

After the seaon finale, A&E is airing a half-hour special, Bates Motel: The Check Out (11pm) where the two lead actors will answer questions delivered via social media. Nestor Carbonell (Sheriff Alex Romero) and executive producers and creators, Kerry Ehrin and Carlton Cuse, will join them. A&E promises to also air some of the actor’s favorite scenes and bloopers over the years.
