In the Supergirl episode ‘Distant Sun’, while Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) fights off aliens attacking National City and Hank (David Harewood) gets an intriguing order from President Olivia Marsdin (guest star Lynda Carter!), Alex (Chyler Leigh) and Maggie run into Maggie’s ex-girlfriend Emily who just happens to be in town for a few days.
Emily is portrayed by Hayley Sales. She’s best known for her role as Shelly on Cedar Cove with Andie MacDowell on The Hallmark Channel. Sales is also a singer. Her second album When the Bird Became a Book (see below) includes a duet with G. Love (see below). Her fourth album The Misadventures will be released this spring. Supergirl airs Mondays at 8pm on CW.
