Who Is Sturgill Simpson’s Wife Sarah?

Four of the five artists nominated for Album of the Year at the 59th annual Grammy Awards are one-name wonders – Adele, Drake, Beyonce, and Biebs. The fifth artist is Sturgill Simpson. His third studio album, A Sailor’s Guide to Earth, is also nominated for Best Country Album. It includes the song, “Oh, Sarah.”

Simpson is expected to attend the ceremony with his wife of six years, Sarah, mother of their 2-year-old son. It will be a rare appearance. (Simpson does not post family photos on social media.) Simpson doesn’t hide his feelings for his family. He said A Sailor’s Guide to Earth is a love letter to Sarah and his child. The songs came from “all that guilt and homesickness” from being on the road after his son was born. “I had to figure out a way to put that into music.” He found a way alright. The 59th Grammy Awards ceremony will be televised on CBS on Sunday, February 12 beginning at 8pm.
