Cage the Elephant, the rock band from Bowling Green, Kentucky, has been around since 2006. Their fourth studio album, Tell Me I’m Pretty, is nominated for a Grammy Award in the Best Alternative Music Album category. The album was produced by Dan Auerbach of the Black Keys.

Prior to forming Cage the Elephant, lead singer Matt Shultz worked in construction as a plumber. He left that job to work at a sandwich bar with his older brother Brad Shultz, who’s also a band member of Cage the Elephant (guitarist). Matt is known for stage diving and crowd surfing during live performances (see photo above). He’s come a long way from being called “Poor Boy” by kids at school. In 2014, he married French actress/model Juliette Buchs. She’s in the band’s video “Cigarette Daydreams.” See below.
