The Bud Light Super Bowl LI ad “Between Friends” starts at a wedding. The best man is giving a toast at his best friend’s wedding (where everyone including the bride is drinking Bud Light). In a number of flashbacks, the best man is seen and heard complaining about everything from food to movies and strange rashes on his belly but he uses all of those complaints to illustrate his close friendship with the groom. At the end they click bottles of Bud Light and say “To Friendship.”
[Guns N’ Roses‘ debut album ‘Appetite For Destruction‘ includes “Sweet Child O’ Mine” and “Welcome To The Jungle”]
The instrumental music, a piano solo, is a sweet, light version of the slightly more menacing Guns N’ Roses song “Sweet Child O’ Mine” from their debut album Appetite for Destruction. (The original “Sweet Child” is on iTunes and Amazon.) At the end of the song, Guns N’ Roses lead singer Axl Rose sings in a maniacal way, “Where do we go? Where do we go now?” To get a Bud Light obviously, comes the answer two decades later.
