Fran Lebowitz Reveals Beauty Fact at “Emotional” Hollywood Party

During New York Fashion Week, author Fran Lebowitz attended a party for the Pirelli calendar at the swanky restaurant Cipriani Wall Street. Page Six reporter Ian Mohr quoted Lebowitz, known for her bon mots, as saying: “I know we are supposed to say beauty is inner — but come on. If that was true, there would be no models.”

The 2017 Pirelli calendar features mostly 40 and older actresses including Nicole Kidman (January), Uma Thurman (October/November), Robin Wright (April), Kate Winslet, Julianne Moore (September/October), Penelope Cruz, and Helen Mirren. The black-and-white photographs were taken by Peter Lindbergh who titled the calendar “Emotional.” Lebowitz will likely not talk about Pirelli’s 44th annual calendar on Real Time with Bill Maher on Friday, February 24 at 10pm on HBO.
