Abby Speicher of Scranton, Pennsylvania is the founder and CEO of DARTdrones, a national company that provides drone pilot training to individuals, government officials (FBI, police departments), and companies (FOX News, American Airlines, HBO). The young Westminster College and Babson College MBA graduate oversees a team of 40 instructors in 21 states including Maryland, Virginia, Florida, Minnesota, California, Colorado, Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, Utah, Arizona, Texas, Kentucky, North Carolina, Georgia, Oregon, Washington, Missouri, Idaho, Indiana, and Illinois. Speicher is eager to expand her business even further — that’s why she’s pitching DARTdrones on Shark Tank (February 24).
The DARTdrones Professional Package costs $1450 which includes 3 courses including a full day in-person training course to pass the FAA Part 107 Drone License exam. DARTdrones could fit nicely into any of the Sharks’ portfolios as all five (Kevin O’Leary, Daymond John, Lori Greiner, Robert Herjavec and Mark Cuban) invested $1.5 million in xCraft Drones in 2015. Shark Tank airs Fridays at 9pm on ABC.
