Beauty and the Beast is a classic love story. While its theme may not be exactly the same as that of the reality TV show/competition The Bachelor — no one thinks The Bachelor’s Nick Viall looks like a beast — the live action remake of the Disney film Beauty and the Beast will be promoted on The Bachelor Season 21 (January 30). The synergy comes from the fact that love is in the air in both stories, and a couple comes together.
In Beauty and the Beast, Belle is portrayed by Emma Watson (Harry Potter, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, The Bling Ring, Noah). Gaston is portrayed by Luke Evans. Americans will recognize the Welsh actor from his roles in the films The Girl on the Train (Scott), the Fast & Furious movies (Owen Shaw), and in The Hobbit movies (Bard/Girion). Fun fact: Evans was a cast member in the London production of the Boy George musical, Taboo. Evans is an openly gay man or as some refer to him “a rare gay action star.” Beauty and the Beast will be in theaters on March 17.
