On the Code Black episode ‘The Devil’s Workshop’, the ER of Angels Memorial is quarantined after a viral outbreak jeopardizes the lives of everyone there. The disease, which kills within 48 hours, “brings the city to its knees.” During the quarantine, Dr. Leanne Rorish (Marcia Gay Harden) reunites with a young girl who lost her father a year ago.
The young girl, Ariel, is portrayed by Emily Alyn Lind. The 14-year-old actress is known for her roles on Revenge (young Amanda Clarke), All My Children (Emma Lavery), and Eastwick (Emily Gardener), among others. Lind is also recognized for her roles in the films J. Edgar (Shirley Temple) and The Secret Life of Bees (young Lily/Dakota Fanning). Fun fact: She is the older sister of Alyvia Alyn Lind who played young Dolly Parton in her Christmas of Many Colors TV movie. (They are pictured together below.)
