In the Season 5 premiere episode of Black Ink Crew, ‘Hail Ceaser!’, Ceaser opens his new shop on 125th Street and introduces the crew to two new tattoo artists, Young Bae and Tiffany Perez.
Tiffany is 29 years old and owns the tattoo shop Tiffany Tattooz in Paterson, New Jersey. She says she joined Black Ink Crew because being a business owner has taken “a toll on me” and “I want to be around people who are doing this and want to succeed just like me.” She’s been tattooing for 8 or 9 years. When she turned 21, her father bought her a tattoo machine which was an unusual gift because she never had a tattoo and had never been in a tattoo shop. So she started by practicing on grapefruits! What does she want out of the show? “I want to go from being booked to super booked.” Tiffany’s not only adorable and sweet but humble too. Will she make it? Black Ink Crew airs Wednesdays at 8pm on VH1.
