In the Dr. Ken episode ‘A Day in the Life,’ documentary film director Amy brings a crew to Welltopia to follow Dr. Ken (Ken Jeong) and capture a typical day in his life at the HMO. The experience, which reveals all the tediousness of his job, leads Ken to doubt his career choice. He believes being a standup comedian would be more exciting.
Amy is portrayed by Yvette Nicole Brown, former co-star of Jeong’s from Community (Shirley Bennett). She currently plays Dani, Oscar Madison’s co-worker on The Odd Couple. Dr. Ken airs Fridays at 8:30pm on ABC.
