Seven-time Grammy Award-winning singer Gloria Estefan and her husband Emilio have a lot to celebrate. In addition to their autobiographical Broadway musical On Your Feet! being a big hit, Gloria will perform with the cast at Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Year’s Eve with Ryan Seacrest in New York’s Times Square. And a week before that, Gloria and Emilio got backstage passes to see their 22-year-old daughter Emily Estefan perform at Y100’s Jingle Ball at the BB&T Center in Miami (where else?!).
In addition to co-writing the On Your Feet! song “If I Never Got to Tell You” with her mother, Emily Estefan produced her debut album, Take Whatever You Want which includes the singles “F#ck to Be” (Gloria directed the music video below) and “Reigns (Every Night).” Not only is Emily a natural, sultry singer but she’s a natural in front of the camera too. She sells all the lines in the jealousy song “Reigns” including the first line: “Hey, quit playing fetch with my fantasies.” Estefan doesn’t just trade on her name and ride her natural talent either — she also studied at the famed Berklee College of Music.
Dick Clark’s Primetime New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest 2017 begins Saturday, December 31 at 10pm on ABC.
