On the American Housewife episode ‘The Blow-Up,’ it’s Thanksgiving and Katie (Katy Mixon) gets an unexpected visit from her mother Kathryn. The former Pan Am stewardess knocks on Katie’s door in obvious physical discomfort, which just adds fuel to Katie’s fury against her mother. On top of that, Katie’s nemesis Viv (Leslie Bibb) invites herself over for Thanksgiving dinner.
Katie’s mother Kathryn is portrayed by Wendie Malick. She’s known for her roles on Rush Hour (Captain Lindsay Cole), Hot in Cleveland (Victoria Chase), Jake in Progress (Naomi), Frasier (Ronee Lawrence), and Just Shoot Me! (Nina Van Horn), among others.
