In the NCIS episode ‘Enemy Combatant’, while Agent Ellie Bishop (Emily Wickersham) is sent to Gitmo to gather evidence regarding the case of a murdered Navy chaplain, her brothers George (Ryan Doom), John (Jesse Bradford) and Robert (Jesse Johnson) surprise her with a visit. They show up unannounced in her apartment, causing her to draw a gun on them. She puts the gun down when she sees it’s just her brothers. John says, “That was awesome. That was like a cop show entrance.” Roberts says, “Very Farrah Fawcett, Charlie’s Angels; I approve.” The Bishop brothers are in town for Thanksgiving and to find out who Ellie is dating (they saw the flowers on the kitchen counter). They also smell perfume (Beach by Bobbi Brown).
John Bishop might look familiar because the actor playing him, Jesse Bradford, was in Code Black (Gordon Heshman), Sequestered (Danny Ferman), Guys with Kids (Chris), and The West Wing (Ryan Pierce), among others. Bradford is also recognized for his roles in the films Bring It On (Cliff Pantone), Flags of Our Fathers (Rene Gagnon), Hackers (Joey), and Swimfan (Ben Cronin). NCIS airs Tuesdays at 8pm on CBS.
