After going 0-for-10 from 3-point range and having his NBA record consecutive regular season games with a 3-pointer streak stopped at 157 games, MVP Steph Curry started a new streak on Monday. And he began it with panache, knocking down 13 from beyond the arc against the Pelicans. The 13 in a single game marks yet another NBA record for Curry.
How rare is to knock down double digit 3-pointers? This is Curry’s 7th time. Of the 11 active players who’ve done it, only two have done it more than once: J.R. Smith (3 times) and Klay Thompson (3 times). Here are the others, according to Basketball Reference.
- Steph Curry
- Kyrie Irving
- Klay Thompson
- Deron Williams
- J.R. Smith
- Wesley Matthews
- Trevor Ariza
- Terrence Ross
- Chandler Parsons
- C.J. Miles
- Mario Chalmers (not retired, but not currently on an NBA roster)
- Ty Lawson
